Dabo Swinney Provides Injury Update On Clemson Wide Receiver Tyler Brown

Dabo Swinney provides injury update on Clemson wide receiver Tyler Brown

Brown suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of Clemson's game against Georgia Tech

Clemson wide receiver Tyler Brown suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of the Tigers' game against Georgia Tech on Saturday. Brown was injured on a punt return and did not return to the game.

Head coach Dabo Swinney said after the game that Brown's injury is not considered to be serious, but he is day-to-day.

"Tyler Brown has a hamstring," Swinney said. "It's not a major hamstring. It's just a little tweak. We'll see how he is during the week. He's day-to-day." Injuries are a part of any sport. No matter how careful you are, you can still get hurt, especially in a strenuous sport like football. Brown is a freshman and this is his first major injury, so he is likely feeling very disappointed. He will need to follow his doctor's orders and rest so that he can heal properly. Clemson has a lot of depth at wide receiver, so Brown's injury is not expected to have a major impact on the team, but it is still a blow to lose a player of his caliber.
