Arsenal Bow out of Champions League as Kimmich Strike Settles Tight Tie

Bayern Munich Progress to Semi-Finals with 3-2 Aggregate Win

Kimmich Header Proves Decisive in Second Leg

London - Arsenal's hopes of reaching the Champions League semi-finals for the first time since 2009 were dashed on Wednesday as Joshua Kimmich's first-half header secured a 1-0 victory for Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. The Bundesliga champions advanced 3-2 on aggregate after the first leg ended in a 2-2 draw.

Despite a bright start from the visitors, it was Bayern who took the lead in the 11th minute. Kimmich rose highest to meet a cross from Serge Gnabry and power a bullet header past Aaron Ramsdale. Arsenal struggled to respond, and the German side controlled the tempo of the game.

The Gunners had a chance to equalize in the second half when Eddie Nketiah found himself through on goal, but he was denied by a brilliant save from Manuel Neuer. Bayern continued to threaten, and they could have extended their lead when Thomas Müller hit the post in the closing stages.

The result leaves Arsenal disappointed, but Bayern Munich will be delighted to have overcome a tricky tie. They will now face either Real Madrid or Manchester City in the semi-finals.
